What offices are there in Bromma?

The offices in Bromma are more spread out than in Solna, Sundbyberg and Kista. This is how we see the different parts:

  • Alvik is Bromma’s main public transport hub and feels most like an extension of the inner city.
  • Ulvsunda and Bromma Blocks have a mix of offices, retail, storage and light industry.

There are also premises here that are hard to find centrally, such as offices combined with storage, a showroom and parking. Bromma suits companies that need to get around by car, or that have operations west of Stockholm.

Where are the offices in Bromma?

  • Alvik

There is a larger area of offices and services here, facing the water and Alviks strand. The City of Stockholm sees Alvik as a development area close to the inner city.

  • Bromma Blocks and Hangar 5

The Bromma Blocks shopping area is getting more space for offices, hotels and retail. Next to it, NCC has built Hangar 5, a new office development with about 30,000 sq m of office space.

  • Ulvsunda industrial area

Industry with some retail, where the city wants to keep space for small and medium-sized manufacturing companies that do not disturb their surroundings. Closest to Bällstaviken, the area is being transformed into a mixed-use urban district. In Bällsta hamn, about 1,400 homes, a school, offices and a hotel are planned.

How do you get there?

  • Alvik: the metro, the light rail (Tvärbanan), the Nockeby line (Nockebybanan) and several bus routes.
  • Brommaplan: metro and buses.
  • Bromma Blocks and Hangar 5: the light rail since 2021, with a stop at the entrance to Hangar 5. According to Region Stockholm’s preliminary timetable, the light rail will continue towards Ursvik from 2028 and to Kista and Helenelund from 2029.

What is happening with Bromma Airport?

The future of the airport has not been decided. This is the situation on 1 October 2026:

  • The government decides on the future of the airport. Its inquiry, which among other things has reviewed air ambulance, business aviation and other activities at the airport, was presented on 30 September 2026. Among other things, it proposes a review in 2033 to assess the airport’s continued operation. These are proposals, not decisions.
  • The City of Stockholm owns the land and has given notice to end the agreement with Swedavia, which runs the airport. The agreement runs until 31 December 2038. The city is working on a programme for a new district with about 16,000 homes and a large number of jobs when flights end.
  • Region Stockholm is studying a metro line to the airport area. The study is due to be completed at the end of 2026. A new metro line requires the airport to close.

We will review this page again once the government has taken a position on the proposals.
