# Office space in Stockholm

We help companies find offices throughout Stockholm, from the inner city to Solna, Sundbyberg, Kista and Bromma. Tell us where your employees and clients are, and we will identify locations and premises that suit you.

- **Areas:** The inner city, Solna, Sundbyberg, Kista and Bromma
- **Shortlist:** Advertised premises and upcoming vacancies
- **Knowledge:** We have been in almost every office in Stockholm

## Short answer

<core-answer>
Which area of Stockholm suits you depends mostly on where your staff live, how your clients get to you and what the premises will be used for. The inner city has the largest supply but usually the highest cost. Solna, Sundbyberg, Kista and Bromma each have their own strengths, such as modern offices, a city feel, large spaces or access by car and parking. Locality helps companies find offices throughout Stockholm.
</core-answer>

## How do you choose an area?

Do not start with the rent. Start with where your staff live, how your clients get to you, how often you are actually in the office and what the premises will be used for. That often makes it clear which two or three areas you should look at more closely.

## How do the areas differ?

This is how we see the five areas:

- **[Central Stockholm (the inner city)](https://www.locality.se/en/offices/central-stockholm/).** Best when the address, client meetings, recruitment and being close to everything the city offers matter most. The largest supply and variety, but usually the highest cost.
- **[Solna](https://www.locality.se/en/offices/solna/).** A good compromise between modern offices, transport links, services and cost. Particularly strong for medium-sized and large companies and organisations.
- **[Sundbyberg](https://www.locality.se/en/offices/sundbyberg/).** For companies that want very good public transport and a real urban setting without being in the inner city. The market is smaller, so the choice can be limited for certain office sizes.
- **[Kista](https://www.locality.se/en/offices/kista/).** Strong for tech and for companies that need large spaces or prioritise cost and being close to northern Stockholm. Often a lot of office space for your money, but a big difference between good and less good locations within the area.
- **[Bromma](https://www.locality.se/en/offices/bromma/).** For companies that prioritise the western suburbs (västerort), access by car and parking, or need offices combined with other functions. Alvik suits those who want public transport and a traditional office location, while Ulvsunda is better suited to businesses that need car access and storage.

## How does the office search work?

We start with a needs assessment. Where do you need to be for your employees and for those who visit you? How large should the premises be, and when do you need them? Then we put together a shortlist, book viewings and take part in the discussions with the landlord until the lease is signed. Read more about [the office search](https://www.locality.se/en/services/find-office-space/).

Many premises are let before they are even advertised. Through our relationships with landlords we often know about upcoming vacancies, and they can also be included in the shortlist.

## What does the client say?

> “We could not be happier with Locality. Their expertise and local knowledge really impressed us. They are not only helpful, they are also incredibly skilled and know every office in town. They helped us with our needs in a way that was both quick and smooth.”

## Pages under Office space in Stockholm

- [Office space in central Stockholm](https://www.locality.se/en/offices/central-stockholm/index.md): The inner city, or central Stockholm (innanför tullarna), has Stockholm's largest and most varied supply of offices, from small offices for a few people to large headquarters. It suits you best when the address, client meetings, recruitment and being close to everything the city offers matter most, but the cost is usually highest. Most people work in Norra innerstaden (the northern inner city), which includes Norrmalm, Vasastaden and Östermalm. Three metro projects affect the inner city: the green line from Odenplan, the blue line from Kungsträdgården and the new yellow line from Fridhemsplan.
- [Office space in Solna](https://www.locality.se/en/offices/solna/index.md): Solna is a good compromise between modern offices, transport links, services and cost, and is particularly suitable when your staff come from many different parts of Stockholm. Office locations include Arenastaden, where ICA Gruppen and Vattenfall have their headquarters, Solna Business Park and Frösunda. The green metro line is being extended to Arenastaden, with services starting in 2028.
- [Office space in Kista](https://www.locality.se/en/offices/kista/index.md): Kista suits companies that need large spaces or a lot of office space for their money, especially in tech. The City of Stockholm describes Kista as a centre for IT and telecoms, and Ericsson, among others, has its global headquarters here. The metro from T-Centralen takes 17 minutes, and according to the preliminary timetable the light rail (Tvärbanan) will reach Kista in 2029.
- [Office space in Sundbyberg](https://www.locality.se/en/offices/sundbyberg/index.md): Sundbyberg suits companies that want very good public transport and a city feel without being in central Stockholm. Regional trains, commuter trains, the light rail and the metro meet at Sundbyberg station. There are about 5,900 companies here, most of them small or medium-sized. Swedbank also has its headquarters here. The market is smaller than in Solna, so the choice can be limited for certain office sizes.
- [Office space in Bromma](https://www.locality.se/en/offices/bromma/index.md): Bromma suits companies that need car access and parking, or offices combined with storage or a showroom. In Alvik, the main public transport hub, the metro, the light rail, the Nockeby line and buses meet. At Bromma Blocks is Hangar 5, a new office development with about 30,000 sq m of office space. The future of the airport has not been decided.

## Frequently asked questions

### Do you help in areas that do not have their own page here?

Yes. We help companies find offices throughout Stockholm, including in areas that do not have their own page here.

### Why are there no rent levels on the area pages?

Rent depends a great deal on the building and the exact location. We do not publish rent levels, vacancy rates or other market figures that we cannot back up. Instead, the area pages give our assessment of which offices there are and how the areas differ. They also contain information supported by public sources, including the municipalities' and Region Stockholm's own websites.
